PhD School
A PhD qualifies the students that want to follow an academic path, but it is also a great asset for those who want to go into industry, become entrepreneurs or even a combination of the public and private sector.
As one of Europe’s five leading technical universities, it is DTU’s vision to offer the best engineering education in Europe – the PhD education is no exception.
DTU Biosustain operates its own PhD school with Tilmann Weber as the Head of the school. Since DTU-Biosustain’s inception in 2011, more than 200 students have been supervised at the Center, and approximately 60 students are enrolled on a continous basis.
CFB has allocated funds for a number of PhD stipends in association with the activities conducted in our research sections and research groups. Vacant stipends will be posted under current vacancies.
The PhD school has also students enrolled under the Fermentation Based Biomanufacturing program from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, as well as the European Commission in Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions and Industrial PhDs with grants from Innovationsfonden.
