Data catalog

One of the focal points of the RDM team is to build a data catalog of active research data at DTU Biosustain. The Data Catalog is a web interface that allows basic data management and integrates with Benchling and MS Azure Data lake facilitating the overview and access to all data generated at Biosustain and automatic creation of Data Management Plans (DMP). It will also provide a unified project flow including compliance, data management plan generation and project overview.

The catalog will provide several benefits:

1. Data Findability and Accessibility: 

• Project management for researchers and data storage in the data lake. Researchers will be able to identify the location of all data related with their project.
• Project management for PIs and group/project managers, with all necessary high-level information readily at hand on a project-by-project level.

2. Data Reusability:

• Easier compliance management of GDPR, Nagoya, Ethics, hazardous chemicals, DMP generation.
• Data sharing and collaboration
